The Systems Engineering team is responsible for the architecture development, requirements, integration, design space characterization, reliability and verification of immunoassay, clinical chemistry and sample handling systems for all new lab diagnostic development projects. With a strong product ownership mindset, the System Engineer influences systems architecture, design, and reliability in the product development process. In performing these responsibilities, the System Engineer bridges all the disciplines of design engineering to assay development and ensures a system’s overview of product development. With direction and mentorship from Senior Engineers, the Systems Engineering Intern works closely with Systems Engineering team members to learn immunoassay and clinical chemistry subsystem and higher-level overall system functionalities. Specifically, the Systems Engineering Intern’s responsibilities include: · you will assist in design and execution of experiments to study the feasibility and impact of various subsystem and system design options and to characterize critical design parameters and their boundaries. · you will assist in the solution of complex technical issues by troubleshooting, determining root cause, and then proposing design modifications. you will assist in the evaluation and analysis of system design and assay performance test data you will assist the systems engineers in integrating of complex subsystems to achieve the desired system functionality you will support the creation of test plans and protocols to support integration, characterization, and verification testing you will support the creation of test plans and protocols to support integration, characterization, and verification testing you will review system & assay performance test data and compare to established acceptance criteria.
