Job Description

Intel's Custom Compute team is looking for a systems software engineer for Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) System on Chip. This team is responsible for strategic products, including emerging privacy preserving security technologies like Fully Homomorphic Encryption.

Key responsibilities of the role include, although not limited to:
Workload analysis of plaintext work loads
Mapping plaintext workloads into FHE instructions using FHE libraries
Writing compilers and schedulers for accelerator instruction set
Exploration of architectures and performance estimation of workload
Developing and utilizing various FHE software tools and/or methodologies
PCIe/CXL based driver software
SOC boot software
Memory driver

Communicating effectively, coordinating, and working with Intel Labs, simulation, emulation
teams.

Behavioral Traits Seeking:
Willingness to quickly learn new mathematical concepts and translate those into Fully Homomorphic Encryption schemes


Qualifications

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors + 10 + years experience in privacy preserving cryptography, lattice cryptography, Trusted execution environment, software security architectures, Masters, Ph. D in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another directly related science/engineering field

Desired Experience or coursework at graduate level
Linear Algebra
Cryptography/Security
Computer Architecture
Software skills (C, C++)

Preferred Experience:
Linux driver software for I/O and memory
System on Chip boot specification and software development
Masters or Ph. D level experience in FHE
Hands on software development and familiarity with FHE Software libraries
Use of Architectural level simulation tools
Familiarity with Linux and/or windows development environments

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
