Join a high-profile team developing lifesaving autonomous vehicle electronics as a systems safety and software engineer. This role is multi-disciplinary involving digital and analog IC architecture, software automation coding, verification and evaluation, safety analysis, requirements management and more. Functional safety is a critical requirement of automotive electronic systems and ICs as defined in ISO 26262:2018 requiring systems thinking, model-based systems engineering, and strong software skills and automation to manage verification and validation across the v-model. Specific Responsibilities / Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to complete functionally safe automotive power products
- Develop and code (Python/other) to automate verification and evidence capture against requirements/specifications
- Drive completion of verification and validation activities, verification plans, simulations, bench measurements, fault injection
- Utilize Jama for requirements management (System, HW, SW, component) via API and GUI
- Perform systems and safety analysis (HAZOP, FMEA, Fault Tree, FMEDA)
- Lead reviews, inspections, confirmations, including 3rd party audits and assessments through release of safety work products
Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience (coop, intern or FT) engineer
- Object Oriented Programming (Adv classes and/or exp)
- Python programming plus Linux utilities and scripting
- Software and Systems Engineering Processes
- Traditional EE digital and analog curriculum preferred
- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, Master’s preferred
