Job Description

The TMG Strategic Planning (SP) organization incorporates factory strategic ramp capital planning to define what our factories and their associated capital equipment needs are to achieve our long-term manufacturing objectives. Come and join this team as a Layout Industrial Engineer within the TMG Strategic Planning Organization, where you can be involved in shaping Intel's future.

Layout is an international team with partners located in Ireland, Israel, New Mexico, Oregon and soon to be in Ohio and Germany. This requires being flexible with meeting availability and may require some travel. Additionally, the Layout IE is the key integration point of many functions required in the layout planning, tool install and Fab construction process. You will serve as a critical link between the Strategic Planning Organization, Construction, Tool Install Design, Tool Install, Manufacturing and Process Engineering during all stages of layout development.

The TMGSP Layout Industrial Engineer (IE) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Planning production facilities and equipment layouts, determining the most efficient use of space, comprehending process flow design constraints, and establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

  • Optimizing the installation sequence to support the analysis and recommendations for future technology transition scenarios.

  • Assist in the process of equipment installation by supporting Design Reviews and attending Field Walks as needed.

  • Interaction with Design Construction and Capacity groups during site build out will be critical to ensure alignment with plans and resolving any layout related field issues.

  • In addition to layout development work the candidate will also be expected to develop, follow, and improve business standards within the organization and drive standardization across multiple sites in the VF (Virtual Factory) Team.

Qualifications

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Willingness to relocate to Phoenix AZ or Columbus OH


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more experience in semiconductor construction, tool install, or factory operations.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
