Job Description

The Technology and Manufacturing Group Strategic Planning (TMGSP) is a worldwide organization that is focused on developing plans to support the manufacturing engine of Intel's factory network.

This position is for an Industrial Engineering Technician role based at Aloha Campus.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the CAD (Computer-aided design) drafting team in developing factory layouts, which involves creating layout blocks from equipment supplier drawings.
  • Working with Industrial Engineers (IE) to develop space-efficient layouts, verifying field conditions, and preparing drawings for publication to the equipment install design firm.
  • Owning small scale Layout projects within the site and support of Functional Area IE's as well.
  • Working with other VF CAD (Virtual Factory) Leaders to ensure the sites are following CAD and Process standards.
  • Participation in design reviews, working groups, and problem identification and resolution during the equipment installation process.
  • Responsible for supporting the analysis and recommendations for future use scenarios and optimizing the installation sequence and timing.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Planner and LOIE (Layout Industrial Engineer) Team follow processes and procedures relative to CAD use, File naming, archiving, etc.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess an Associate's degree in drafting, CAD related certifications, or the equivalent military training.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  2+ years of experience with designing equipment layout and work flows in the semiconductor industry.
  • Expert with AutoCAD software and dynamic block development can lead the team towards BIM/3D.
  • Experience with computer programming for AutoCAD using scripts and languages such as VB.NET.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation development Experience in leading small projects in the factory.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
