Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the COE Engineer’s primary responsibility will be the timely execution of Custom Order Engineered (COE) in accordance with established best practices and industry standards, including bills of material, detailed assembly, and production drawings. The COE engineer will provide Customer Order Engineering (COE) support for the busway/TOB product line. This includes but is not limited to engineering electrical/mechanical designs, providing direction to other Engineers/ Designers and collaboration with direct Customers/Field Sales. Position will interface with other departments including MFG, Supply Chain, OPEX and Quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop a variety of drawings and bills-of-material based on design standard practices and industry standards Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products. Work with the quality department in problem solving Complete and manage engineering projects to completion in meeting deadlines with little or no supervision. Perform standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations. Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills. Possesses strong computer skills and proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor and other Engineering/Business software applications. Interface daily with remote Engineering locations including Hodges, NC and Pune, IN in the processing of customer orders. Acts as “Lead” for all COE orders in Juarez location Qualifications Qualifications: Communication skills Spoken and Written English / Spanish. Oriented to Customer Satisfaction Contribute to the achievement of environmental objectives and target Business-savvy, team player working collaboratively with all functions achieve the department goals Specialized Knowledge Bachelor’s degree on Electrical, Electromechanical, Electronic, or related engineering. Drafting mechanical and electrical.
