Our Siemens Large Drive Applications business is looking for a multi-faceted Tactical Buyer / Purchasing Operator with a wide range of experience in Purchasing for multiple portfolios across a diverse range of domestic and international suppliers. Responsibilities: Acquiring quotations from Third Party and Siemens vendors Review Purchase requisition for completeness and accuracy PO Creation and Transmittal & PO related services for multiple segments of Siemens Large Drives Applications Insure management approval for timely dispatch of purchase orders Assist in execution of PO changes Delivery follow-ups and PO confirmation with Supplier PO status tracking and expediting PO closeout support during project finalization Support sourcing options for non-critical parts (i.e. distribution for standard parts) Collaborate closely with Siemens customs and IMEX teams to clear international shipments Support the business unit with Purchasing KPIs Supervise PO status reports and work to resolve to discrepancies Support invoice processing via Purchasing tools like Nextgen Support Purchasing Master Data efforts like new vendor and material master creation Lead Purchase order dates, vendor confirmations & goods receipts Assist Divisional Buyers with relevant queries and accommodate critical deliveries with controls and Database maintenance & understanding of criticalities of Siemens LDA requirements Consistent performance on processing activity per detailed policies Work together with the GBS cross functional teams to expedite resolutions Identify Value adds with business and improvements in performance. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Tactical Buying roles Strong understanding of SCM P2P cycle, Proficiency & experience in ERP– SAP Excellent interpersonal and communication (Written and Verbal) skills a must.
