This exciting role offers opportunity to: Lead a group of design technicians and engineers in the creation of part design, tooling design, specification creation while insuring efficient communications with internal customers. The design team is responsible to create and maintain specifications for drawings and tooling. The design team works with product development engineers, transition team leaders, and manufacturing personnel to align design attributes for maximum productivity. Supervise daily tasks of the APAC design team (Taiwan, Pune) Coordinate/schedule/assign work for design team to support product/tooling development Support technology and design data transfer between APAC and Global Innovation Center in Pinehurst, NC Support and contribute to tool design and manufacturing support Prioritize multiple Design assignments with aggressive timelines to ensure on time delivery Continuously look for opportunities to find creative solutions to design hurdles Ensure all design documentation is managed and controlled in a central database (ENOVIA) in accordance with Change Management Policies Facilitator of on going design review and risk mitigation Liaison with Thailand R&D team to facilitate design/tooling documentation and fabrication Facilitate and collect program lessons learned for Product/Design Support development and maintenance of product/design standards Responsible for continuous improvement of product/tooling design drawings/document control process Support the global 3D direction by using advanced modeling techniques to improve the 3D creation of grip sizes, textures, and graphics for both swing and putter grips increasing speed and efficiency Build-out 3D database for legacy products and all future designs that include ready to use libraries of textures, logos, and graphics NA Project - Receipt and allocation of tasks based on Product Brief JOEM Project - Single point contact with OEM customer, develop project brief, allocate all development activities based on performance requirement Support project timeline, project tasks, monitor progress as it relates to Product and Tooling design Manage project thru develop, pilot and PPAP (including hand off to production team) Lead the quick turnaround of prototype samples to achieve on-time delivery of design freeze. (OTD design freeze) Act as liaison with material supervisor to evaluate tools/materials with regards to performance specification Qualifications Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology Basic Qualifications 3 years of experience in 3D concept design, product design, mechanical design, design for manufacturing, and tooling design. 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment 3 years experience in rapid prototyping 3 years experience in molded part design 1-2 years experience in a managerial role (MOP - Manager of People) 2-3 years experience in an advanced concept development/product innovation role 1-3 years experience in golf, sporting goods, or consumer products industries 1-2 years working knowledge of document standards, document control, and change management 3 years experience working in SolidWorks Experience in NX Unigraphics, ProE, or similar 3D modeling software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Basic Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Excellent written and spoken English Preferred Qualifications 2 years experience with Rhinoceros V5 3D Software Experience with ENOVIA PLM system Ability to work with minimal supervision in fast paced environment Comfortable working cross-functionally with integrated project teams Ability to receive, prioritize, and manage multiple design assignments simultaneously Good analytical skills Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written Awareness of international cultures.
