Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grips.  Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers. As a member of the site leadership team, the primary responsibility of the person in this position will supervise material development in the Tainan, Taiwan development team. The Taiwan Materials Supervisor will be responsible to lead a team developing rubber compound formulations, strategic material technology development, and continuously improving material science know how and technology to support product development.

50. Establish best practices for material records.  Establish and maintain a log of all materials and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on all chemicals and materials used in the Taiwan R&D group.  Ensure compliance with Eaton safety standards and other regulatory requirements.
50. Establish best practices and document standard procedures for rubber compounding, mixing, sheeting, and testing to ensure global standards are being met. This includes rubber compounding, color development, and paint development.
50. Collaborate Globally and locally champion Global DOEs to optimize processing and troubleshoot Scrap and Rework.
50. Lead the compliance of Global Material Standards.  Establish common formulas and processes worldwide with the goal of minimizing the number of formulas developed.
50. Develop, control, and submit for Global approval all rubber recipes for all products developed for manufacture in the Taiwan factory.  Manage and maintain all materials recipe documentation to support product launch and production in Enovia/Biovia system.
50. Comply with the global materials direction as specified by the Global Materials Leader. Ensure all raw materials used are approved by the Global Materials Leader adhering to the Global Change Management Policy.
50. Establish best practices and lessons learned on compound formulas and process controls to achieve robust product quality. Pursue continuous learning and improvement to advance the knowledge for the work team.

Qualifications

Requirement:

50. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Materials Science from an accredited institution. Master or PhD. is preferred.
50. Team Leader or people managing role (3+ years)
50. Intermesh (2+ year), ISO color matching experience (Plus to have).
50. Formulating rubber compounds / colors compounds (3+ years)
50. Developing standard rubber compounds for multiple locations. (3+ years)
50. Project Management, 8D problem solving. DOE. Six Sigma. (Plus to have)
50. Expertise of polymeric materials properties (chemical to physical properties relationships)
50. Expertise of rubber mixing, calendaring, and molding.
50. Expertise with Kneader (Tangential and Intermesh) mixing.
