Talent Acquisition Business Partner – Research and Development
Job Summary

Then look no further! Amgen has an opening for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner supporting Amgen's Research and Development function. The Talent Acquisition Business Partner role will translate business priorities and workforce planning initiatives into significant talent strategies and action plans. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to the HR Leads and HRBPs supporting that function.
In this consultative role you will:
Assess external labor market conditions, develop a keen understanding of our internal talent pipeline, and as a result, develop effective, talent acquisition strategies, recruiting channels and methods.
Stay abreast of Amgen’s business priorities and current and future talent needs. Advise HR and the business on what we should be doing to get ahead of these needs. Translate these insights into action and achieve results.
Provide guidance, metrics, insights and recommendations to the HRBP teams, the function, and to senior level business clients.
Seek out and introduce new, innovative recruitment practices that will address the demands of the business.
Design and lead effective recruiting Diversity & Inclusion strategies
Identify and lead projects to improve Amgen’s Recruiting capabilities - which address both priorities within the targeted function area, and where appropriate, drive holistic improvements for Staffing as a global function.
Advise on workforce planning and other key initiatives.
Partner closely with the Recruiting Process Outsource (RPO) vendor staff that supports the targeted function.
Accountable for OFCCP compliance and ensuring all legal compliance of Amgen’s Recruiting processes.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience
OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Human Resources experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Human Resources experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree
- Experience with full life cycle recruiting in a large, complex, global organization – ideally within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
- Demonstrable experience delivering results by driving innovation and exhibiting subject matter expertise in order to influence talent decisions
- Staffing and/or HRBP experience supporting corporate functions and/or operations client groups
- Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
- Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and the ability to think strategically
- Ability to understand, balance, and articulate both tactical and long-range planning issues
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and persuasive team and project leadership, including influencing and negotiation skills
- Exercise discretion, ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneously
- Consistent track record engaging key partners and developing effective relationships across different functions and global locations.
- Experience utilizing data analytics to support recruitment strategies, identify areas of opportunity and display results
