Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and delivering an integrated regional talent acquisition strategy to support the growth of Avery Dennison Label & Graphic Materials in the Asia-Pacific region. The position will work with multiple stakeholders and business leaders across the region within the Label Graphics Material Business and Corporate portfolios. You will lead a team of talent acquisition professionals to optimise our ability to acquire the best talent and ensure the timely delivery of recruitment services for the business. This role is ideally based in Shanghai.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Leading the talent acquisition function for the region - you will be accountable for building an employer brand and talent pipeline to support the growth, competitive advantage and sustainability of the organization.
Closely partnering with senior business and HR stakeholders to ensure that talent acquisition plans and deliverables are aligned with broader business strategies and needs. You will also be looked to for external talent market intelligence to inform our people strategies.
Proactively building sourcing strategies and a vendor network to ensure that we are able to find the most appropriate talent just in time.
Being a custodian and advocate of our employer brand in the talent market. You will also be a voice for the needs in Asia Pacific and directly contribute to the Avery Dennison EVP.
Directly recruit Director/VP level roles and other critical-to-business-success roles across Asia Pac region.
Drive our Talent Acquisition functions performance and continue to elevate team capability.
Evolve talent selection capabilities and processes to select for the most suitable talent. Coach and educate hiring managers in the selection process; design and implement recruitment training modules where needed.
Continue to optimize and engineer a world-class Early Careers program to generate future generation leaders for Avery Dennison across the region.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
At least 10 – 12 years of experience in Human Resources/TA, with a minimum of five years in a team management role
Previous experience in leading regional Talent Acquisition with direct experience in designing and developing employer branding strategies and initiatives is required
Demonstrated capability to craft and deliver a business-oriented Talent Acquisition strategy and team that is effective and value add. Ability to lead and execute through efficient processes and structured thinking
Experience in designing and implementing early talent programs from campus recruitment to talent management is required.
Strong stakeholder management skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Prior experience in a matrix, global organization with a distributed workforce and remote team management
