  • Primary Purpose of Role

    The Talent Acquisition Specialist, Asia (includes China, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam) has accountability for partnering with the Business and Hiring Managers to ensure the best talent is sourced, attracted and recruited into the organisation in a timely manner.

    As the subject matter expert for all activities relating to Talent Acquisition, this role will support the onboarding experience, the HRIS recruitment module and Employer Value Proposition initiatives alongside the Talent Acquisition Manager Asia based in Shanghai.


  • Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    Accountable for the entire talent acquisition process to include ensuring briefs are clear and concise, devising sourcing strategies and robust research plans, conducting market-mapping, sourcing network for advice and taking the role to market. The focus markets are all functions in SEAMEA (including Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia) and Finance, Supply and Legal functions in China and Japan.

    Establishes close contact with executive, employees and managers through regular meetings. Acting as a trusted advisor for employees and managers and gives honest feedback. Lead the selection process to include engaging with candidates, conducting interviews, producing assessments of potential candidates and scheduling face-to-face interviews with key internal stakeholders.

    Manage the hiring and filling of roles in a time and cost-efficient manner in line with budgetary requirements

    Support P&C team in executing integrated people plans for re-organisations; aware of all relevant redeployments and strategic change activities to ensure delivery of the right skills and bench-strength pipeline.

    Create and maintain an on-going pipeline of high potential candidates to ensure the best talent is in the business. Proactively build your network in the key markets.

    Candidate Attraction

    • Ensure all recruitment channels promote TWE’s EVP and drive diverse sourcing and selection processes which are free of bias and that selection decisions are based upon objective assessment criteria
    • Develops appropriate and effective direct sourcing strategies
    • Accountable for managing recruitment agencies/search consultants.
    • Keep up to date on new and contemporary sourcing channels and techniques
    • Employ innovative sourcing approaches to maintain candidate networks
    • Utilise internal and external networks to identify suitable candidates, nurture them into active candidates by articulating TWE career opportunities in a compelling way.
    • Ensure a full pipeline of potential candidates is maintained by through proactive engagement
    • Responsible for ensuring quality candidate and Hiring Manager experience in line with TWE’s behaviours & expectations.

    Strategic Recruitment activity

    • Promote TWE as an employer of choice through development of professional external networks and attendance at relevant external conferences and events

    • Support the Employer Value Proposition (EVP) agenda and roll out in the SEAMEA region • Shows they are data centric in their thinking, leveraging data to tell the important stories to support and help enable change

    • Uses Market Intelligence to drive decisions on available talent in the market and position they are hiring for

    Recruitment

    • Consistently and effectively demonstrates the ability to Influence without authority to reach an optimal outcome and achieve a win/win for all involved by consulting with the business to call out any challenges/obstacles to success with suggestions and provide options to remove them.
    • Strong assessor of talent, working with the hiring manager to understand the skills needed to do the role and what the market has to offer.
    • Strong relationship builder, connecting and building relationships with candidates, referrals channels and within groups, clubs and professional associations.
    • Manage all the core transactional activities of the end to end recruitment process such as job posting, applicant screening, interview scheduling and participation, HRIS system, reference, background checking and preparation
    • Facilitate local interview skills training to hiring managers and on job coaching for new people leaders
    • Manage and monitor recruitment budget to ensure in line with expectations in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Manager, Asia
    • Providing Hiring Managers with candidate information and interview documentation, as well as coaching and interview support where required.
    • Administer appropriate employment eligibility, reference and background check activities for candidates at appropriate stage of the recruitment process
    • Produce recruitment related reports as and when required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HR or Business Degree preferred
  • 5-8 years of HR work experience in MNC and/or agency, specifically in Talent Acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organisation from front-line to senior leadership
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Up to date with legal and other HR developments in regard to recruitment
