Job Description

An exciting position has become available for a passionate professional to provide a high level of HR support across two properties located in Preston, Melbourne. Based at Novotel Melbourne Preston, this role will be supported by a Regional Human Resources Manager as well as two General Managers. This is a true HR business partner role providing high level HR support and advice to both hotel teams as well as the implementation of new initiatives to improve and move our business forward.

 

Other aspects of the position include:

  • Co-ordination of Occupational Health and Safety requirements and workers compensation/injury management;
  • Driving and promoting reward and recognition across both properties;
  • Providing guidance to managers on employment relations conditions and legislative requirements;
  • Leading and supporting talent identification & development discussions in conjunction with Management teams to identify & foster high potential talent;
  • Facilitation of training sessions & co-ordination of training calendar;
  • Providing HR support to management and Team Members.

 

You will ideally possess the following skills and experience that will be pivotal to your success in this role:

  • Experience in a generalist HR function, preferably within the hospitality industry;
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail;
  • The ability to work unsupervised & under pressure;
  • A hands on approach & can-do attitude;
  • Ability to build rapport with team members at all levels of the organisation.
