Talent & Culture Coordinator

The Mercure Townsville has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Talent & Culture Coordinator.  You are an enthusiastic and motivated individual ready for the next step in to your HR career. You are a multi-tasker and able to work independently, performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative duties to support our team. You communicate well with all stakeholders, anticipate and resolve issues, and update the team on your various projects.

What will you be doing? 

• Assist with all facets of the day to day operation of the T&C department
• Create a human connection with team members through your curiosity and empathy with others
• Provide on-going support to team members in line with our Talent & Culture policies and people strategy. 
• Be our engagement guru, actively drive activities throughout the Hotels.
• Work closely with our management team as you continue growing & developing your skillset. 
• Assist the team with recruitment, onboarding and training and reporting
• Assist with queries relating to policies, procedures, performance management, award interpretation and employment relations.

Your skills and experience

• Generalist experience in HR will be highly regarded. 
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Self-driven, curious nature with a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to adapt under pressure.
• Enthusiasm and infectious energy to contribute towards a positive working environment as you embody our Heartist culture.
• HR qualifications, working towards them or related experience.
