The Director, Talent & Culture achieves the Hotel’s operating goals by maximizing employee productivity, well-being, and achieving customer service objectives. He/she directs and implements training programmes, T&C policies and procedures in accordance with hotel needs, local labour legislation and corporate guidelines. Also, to formulate recruitment, manpower development and training, wage and salary administration, employee benefits, labour relations and health/safety programmes and procedures.

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and coordinate all employee and labour relations activities within the Hotel to ensure compliance with local labour laws and hotel’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate and Hotel T&C policies/guidelines and procedures
- Increase the consistency of customer service and supervisory and management expertise by utilizing Training as a strategy to achieve customer service and operation’s goals.
- Drive company culture by planning and conducting employee orientation and on-going programs to foster a positive attitude in line with Hotel’s Vision, Mission and Values. Implement employee certification/career development programme.
- Direct and co-ordinate wage and performance review activities in the Hotel to ensure employee satisfaction and in compliance with the law and control costs.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover statistics and provide conclusions and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare annual T&C budget and update the monthly forecast.
- Ensure adherence to Labour budget throughout the Hotel.
- Ensure regular meetings are held for Leaders and Colleagues.
- Ensure recognition programmes are in place and utilized by department leaders.
- Ensure regular employee activities are organized for the hotels.
- Provide guidance to the management team in relation to people management relations.
- Negotiation with the Work Council and Unions
- Ensure employee work and personal development with talent management programme
- Supervise Risk Prevention.
- Conduct employee engagement survey and ensure execution of effective follow-up actions
- Oversee all corporate T&C initiatives such as Performance Management System and ensure implementation and compliance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Hospitality institutions and Government Agencies.
- Coordinate and follow up with the hotel operating departments to ensure smooth delivery of hotel’s promised services
- Actively involved in Service Quality and support activities related to Quality Service.
- Actively participate in the Executive Committee and management meetings.
- Reduce, re-use, recycle and support all initiatives towards the environment – CSR
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the General Manager
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Candidate must possess at least a Law, Psicolpogy or Hospitality Management Degree
- A minimum of 10 years related experience in the hospitality industry
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
- Good Spoken and written English & Mother tongue
- Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint, HR software
