The Role:

This position manages and control all Talent & Culture functions and activities ensuring they meet the operational needs of the hotel while falling within the guidelines of Accor Talent & Culture Policies and initiatives. 

The hotels have wonderful staff who truly live Accor’s Heartist culture.  This broad role provides support & implementation of the Hotels Human Resources processes.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, who is assertive and prides themselves in delivering excellence with their work. Driving Recruitment, Learning & Development and upholding our Heartist culture, partnered with a creative flair and an ability to exceed targets will see you achieve great things in this role. We are looking for a passionate leader who leads by example and who encourages the team as a whole to thrive.

The Candidate:

You will have experience or formal training in Human Resources including working with Australian awards.  Demonstrated understanding with recruitment practices, workplace health and safety, learning and development will be highly regarded.

An exceptional communicator who is flexible, adaptable and thrives in a diverse environment. Ideally you will have worked in hospitality or customer service industries, demonstrating a passion for providing excellent service. Your ability to manage competing and changing priorities will see you succeed in the role.

Below will be some of the responsibilities and expectations:

  • Prepare, communicate and implement the annual Talent & Culture Department Business Plan
  • Oversee recruitment to meet hotel staffing needs following hotel and company guidelines
  • Recruit for senior positions in hotel ensuring communication with Regional Talent & Culture to ensure national/international talent pools are utilised
  • Facilitate AccorHotels training courses within the hotel to meet identified training needs, evaluate effectiveness and maintain accurate records.
  • Coach supervisors and managers on their performance management culture, process, & responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager with employee relations initiatives, implement reward and recognition programs
  • Manage the annual AccorHotels Recognition Awards, ensuring that it is effectively promoted around the hotel amongst employees and management as per the AccorHotel guidelines.
  • Manage the salary/award review process
  • Sensitively manage industrial relations within the hotel ensuring proactive communication and interaction with unions and delegates, accurately document meetings and disciplinary actions
  • Manage the Workers Compensation process
  • Ensure the appropriate WH&S training is completed in line with legal compliance
  • Prepare monthly Talent & Culture reports following guidelines provided by the Regional Talent & Culture Manager.
