Job Description

Talent & Culture Officer

To maintain all administrative functions within the Talent & Culture Office, support positive colleague relations and promote our company values and culture.

What you will be doing:

  • Personally greeting all internal/external customers, offering support and fielding enquiries ensuring
  • Answer a wide variety of enquiries from colleagues and prospective colleagues, both in person, over the telephone and via e-mail, responding with the appropriate correspondence.
  • Manage all office administration responsibilities, including incoming and outgoing mail, and filing, ensuring a smooth paper flow and maintaining the order and cleanliness of the office.
  • Perform right to work checks on all new and existing colleagues
  • Clear SAB Careers and SAB Recruitment mail boxes on a daily basis
  • Assisting with receiving and managing incoming resumes and applications through the INES system and via e-mail.
  • Completion of all letters and offers of employment as requested.
  • Maintain confidential filling system for employee files, correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and employment applications.
  • Ensure all colleague forms are available and stocked.
  • Use HR system to record all data and ensure information is up to date.
  • Assist with the co-ordination and follow up of employee relation activities, including General Staff Meetings and seasonal staff events.
  • Assisting the Training Manager and Director of Talent & Culture in completing special projects as required.
  • To be aware of and fully support all Fairmont Human Resource Policies & Procedures
  • Carry out any other administrative support duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Timely completion of all reference requests required for incoming employees and termination documentation for exiting colleagues.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of school and college visits.
  • Assist in the completion of annual HR audit items and maintenance of the same in your area of responsibility.
  • Facilitate and Support (when necessary) myFairmont orientation programme and other corporately sponsored learning initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • The ability to manage workloads to meet daily and weekly deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail 
  • The ability to work on multiple projects within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred


Your team and working environment:

  • Working a fast-paced team environment
  • Shifts will be during the day and weekend
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization
