Groups (or, as we call them – sub-service lines) within Tax include Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Human Capital, Indirect Tax Services, International Tax Services and Transaction Tax Services.
Join our globally integrated team of dedicated indirect tax professionals and you will combine technical knowledge, industry understanding and technologically advanced tools and methodologies to identify risks and sustainable planning opportunities for indirect taxes throughout the tax life cycle at the local level. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding of complex import/export, customs and international trade transactions (both from a China and an international perspective) and be able to apply this knowledge directly to client situations;
- Clearly explain the current regulatory environment and assist companies to understand how to operate compliantly and effectively in today’s environment;
- Ability to analyze information and prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's complex supply chain and import/export transactional issues;
- Develop and deliver quality customs and international trade advice with timely and responsive services/work products;
- Build long-term relationships with Clients and Customs.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree, preferably with an advanced degree in tax, accounting, trade or law;
- A minimum of 5 years of customs and trade experience in China or internationally;
- Broad exposure to international trade issues but deep experience preferred;
- Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills;
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment;
- Travelling within the PRC is required;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (other languages a plus);
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS office and online research tools);
- Additional credentials such as customs broker license or CPA qualifications are a plus.
