Tax Intern
Bentley Systems, Incorporated is looking for a Tax Intern in its Exton, PA headquarters. The Tax Intern position offers exposure to a myriad of various corporate tax compliance and provision issues in the areas of federal, state, local and international taxes. The Tax Intern will participate in all aspects of Bentley Systems US tax compliance, planning, financial reporting and controversy efforts. The Tax Intern will work with and assist other members of the tax team, as well as the financial reporting and accounting teams, regarding tax compliance and tax accounting issues.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare Forms 5471 (average of 70+ CFCs) and 8858; includes responsibility for computing GILTI for individual CFCs.
- Analysis of general ledger accounts and preparation of tax adjustments for US corporate income tax returns, state and local income tax returns, and franchise tax returns.
- Preparation of federal and state income tax filings. Preparation and/or review of annual reports, census, property tax and other miscellaneous filings with governmental authorities.
- Calculation and preparation of quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual tax account roll forwards and journal entries, including reconciliations and analysis.
- Participate in quarterly tax provision calculations.
- Assist with federal, state and local tax audits.
- Participate in tax research and planning projects.
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements.

- An interest in learning about taxation both from a US and a foreign country perspective.
- Proven capacity for handling multiple tasks, coupled with flexibility and creative problem-solving skills in a time-sensitive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and function independently, demonstrating a high level of motivation for taking initiative.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAP and CorpTax a plus.
Qualifications:
- College student, recent college graduate or a graduate student, majoring/minoring in accounting, taxation or related course of study.
- 0 to 2 years of professional experience in accounting, tax or a combination of both, including internships.
