Job Description

About the role:
This is a new role reporting directly into the recently promoted Group Head of Tax. The Tax manager will assist the Head of Tax in tax compliance, tax reporting and other ad hoc matters across the group.

Key Responsibilities:
This is a highly flexible role which will demand strong organisation and communication skills. The business is going through a significant period of change and the new role will evolve over time. Working closely with the Group Head of Tax, the primary responsibilities will include: 
* Group tax reporting under IFRS, including review of tax packs prepared by overseas finance teams.
* Oversee the UK compliance for the Group, working closely with external advisors and UK finance team, including preparation of tax notes for statutory accounts.
* Assist with Group meeting its Senior Accounting Officer obligations, including documentation of tax policy and procedures, tax strategy and tax risk matrix.
* Assistance with design, implementation and operation of the Group’s new transfer pricing model
* Assistance with compliance with Country by Country reporting
* Assistance with ongoing tax audits in UK an overseas territories
* Assistance with other Group projects including entity rationalisation/restructuring, M&A
* Other Ad hoc requests such as withholding tax compliance, tax risk management etc.

Requirements, skills and qualifications:
* Direct Tax experience – experience dealing with International Tax an advantage
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to influence and manage multiple tasks
* IT literate with strong Excel skills. 
* Accountancy background ACA/ACCA/CIMA - an advantage  
* OneSource Tax provision – an advantage
* Experience of managing change.
* Operates in an honest, ethical manner in all dealings; acts with integrity
* Team player willing to assist where needed
* Willingness to learn and embrace change
* A pro-active individual
* Ability to quickly build relationships
