Position Summary:

Bentley Systems' Finance Department is expanding and looking to hire a Manager or Senior Manager (Title commensurate with experience) in our Exton, PA global headquarters. The position will be reporting to the U.S. Tax Director. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, go-getter for the newly created position. The position offers exposure to a myriad of corporate tax compliance and provision issues in the areas of Federal and international taxes. The Position will be involved in the Bentley Systems US Federal tax compliance, global tax provision, tax planning and controversy efforts. The Position will work with other members of the tax team, as well as the financial reporting and accounting teams, regarding tax provision, accounting, and compliance issues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support all Federal aspects of Bentley Systems US Federal compliance
  • Preparation and technical review of corporate tax returns
  • Assist in the preparation/review of quarterly US Federal and State tax estimates
  • Research and propose resolutions on complex tax issues.
  • May assist with GILTI and FDII computations.
  • Prepare/review quarterly and year-end US Federal tax provision calculations, including tax account reconciliations and roll forwards, as well as resulting journal entries, and related footnote disclosures.
  • Review foreign subsidiary tax packages
  • Assist with US Federal Income Tax Audits and inquiries.
  • Assist in planning and accounting for acquisitions, restructurings, and mergers. 
  • Support acquisition teams during financial due diligence and subsequent integration activities;
  • Work on special projects, which may include ad-hoc analyses, leading meetings or discussions, and ensuring project activities are managed through completion;
  • Influence decisions, drive processes and obtain results in an efficient, collaborative manner.
  • Develop, mentor & motivate staff
  • Continuously look to improve departmental methods for information gathering and analysis through internal and external tools 

 

 Qualifications:

  • 5 +/- years of professional tax experience in Federal income taxation of C Corps with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation.
  • An MS in Taxation or MBA and/or a CPA certification a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related course of study.

 

Core Competencies Required:

  • Experience working on U.S. multinational corporate tax compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of ASU 740 tax provisions.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. international tax issues including GILTI, FDII and FTC.
  • Exposure to international taxes and transfer pricing a plus.
  • Good computer skills, such as working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of CorpTax and SAP a plus.
  • Proven capacity for handling multiple tasks, coupled with flexibility and creative problem-solving skills in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, assuming ownership of projects and organizing to deliver on deadline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to foster a team-oriented environment, working collaboratively with cross-functional departments. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems through solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. 
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the comapny in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel.
