Eaton’s Tax Technology Group is currently seeking a Tax Technology Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Position Overview: The Eaton Tax Technology Group is responsible for global tax systems and technology to support worldwide compliance for all tax regulations. The data required to comply with global tax law is derived from various ERP and general ledger systems throughout the company. The Analyst - Tax Systems will assist the Manager - Tax Systems in maintaining the integrity and transformation of data into the tax compliance systems as they transform during the implementation of the global technology strategy. Taxing agencies have been increasing their focus on data extraction and therefore primary responsibilities of the role will be to ensure that Eaton complies with the law while minimizing tax costs and to identify opportunities to minimize tax or improve existing processes. The Analyst-Tax Systems will represent the Tax department on IT finance projects with tax implications and assist the Manager - Tax Systems with the global tax technology roadmap. In this function you will: Participate in internal, external and cross functional teams as a Tax representative in IT projects or planning initiatives Evaluate data and accounting flows and provide suggestions on strategic improvements Organize and capture tax business requirements and reporting needs Participate in opportunities for tax planning and strategic process improvement initiatives Coordinate and facilitate tax member meetings to ensure tax objectives are met during IT system discussions Facilitate tax member meetings to ensure tax objectives are met during tax subject matter expert discussions Perform research related to jurisdictional statute changes that impacts Eaton tax filings Participate and assist in design, build and test workshops for tax technology projects. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Currently possess or will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance from an accredited institution, with a graduation date no later than August 2022 12 credit hours in Accounting/Finance completed by graduation Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed by the time of application, Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Position Criteria: Strong analytical abilities with excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities yet still meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong attention to detail with a focus on continual improvement processes. Ability to take ownership of assignments and work under pressure.
