As Tax Authorities across the world adopt a ‘real time’ approach to collecting and analysing business data, we are looking to transform our processes, data and systems to ensure that AZ gets transaction data right first time at source to fulfil tax obligations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Tax Transformation team within Finance Transformation with a focus on delivery of tax initiatives. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute towards the tax transformation agenda and be the bridge between the Tax programme and the business deploying the overall Change and Communications strategy.

Our Change Lead will work directly with internal stakeholders including project managers, Global Process Owners, IT, GFS, Embedded Finance, and external consultants to ensure projects are embedded and supported appropriately to meet the overall objectives.

Reporting directly to the Business Improvement and Tax Transformation Director you will work closely with the Finance Transformation Change team to ensure standard Change processes are followed.

You must be able to gain the trust and respect of stakeholders who will rely on your input to support business change, stakeholder engagement and communications. Excellent and demonstrable written communication skills, planning, and multi-channel communications experience (particularly digital communications) is essential, with a proven track record of successful delivery.

Typical accountabilities:

  • Own, manage and monitor change management actions within the overall project plan

  • Support the deployment of the Tax transformation projects, focusing on Tax Data Compliance & VAT Reconciliation

  • Support and prepare training materials to meet deployment requirements to ensure the process is clearly understood and sustainable in BAU

  • Input to the development of process maps, RACIs and SOPs so support the revised processes

  • Manage key stakeholders relevant to the deployment (Group Tax, Business, Finance & IT)

  • Working with Group Indirect Tax stakeholders and 3rd party providers to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

  • Support Group Tax with operating model changes as required. Engage with members of Group Tax and 3rd parties to understand requirements and constraints

  • Prepare Change Impact Assessment (CIA)

  • Plan and facilitate Change Impact Assessment workshops, assess change impacts and develop Change Plans

  • Support deployment to ensure a smooth transition to BAU (operational readiness), landing and embedding change in a sustainable manner

  • Develop and execute best practice change communication to support engagement activities

  • Develop and maintain the stakeholder register, analysing and mapping Stakeholders, and aligning communication to a structured engagement plan

  • Support planning, development and delivery of communication and training events

  • Improving digital channel engagement

  • Encouraging cross-functional collaboration

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience of developing and implementing change plans in a complex multi-stakeholder environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and eye for detail

  • Strong collaboration, planning and multi-channel delivery experience

  • Experience of managing different stakeholder relationships, developing cross-cultural networks and tactfully challenging opinions to achieve desired outcomes

  • Strong creative design and execution of digital communications assets and upholding visual and verbal identity

  • High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the team and peer group

  • Willingness to be flexible on working hours to support a Global Project
