Teach Calculus at an American High School Program in Dongying, Shandong Province.
International Academic Alliance (IAA) seeks a full- or part-time Calculus instructor to teach Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus preparation courses in an American high school program conducted at a Chinese high school in Dongying City, Shandong, China. This teaching position provides instructors with opportunity to diversify their teaching portfolios and teach rigorous college preparatory subject curricula.

Job Description:
Instructor will teach courses within the IAA American High School Honors Program, an American college prep Academic English program delivered at Chinese international high school. Instructor will teach program courses in the following subjects:
- Pre-Calculus
- AP Calculus
About the IAA American High School Honors Program:
The IAA American High School Honors Program prepares students to pursue a dual China and American education through an innovative blend of Chinese and American college preparatory course work.
Responsibilities:
• Teachers instruct up to 20 hours per week and spend up to an additional 20 hours per week on lesson planning, conducting course lecture support, academic labs and mentoring.
• Work closely with the Program’s Center Director and other course faculty on: Effective teaching of curricula in preparation for the May AP examinations; practice testing; and tracking student progress towards exam readiness.
• Provide support for students having difficulty with their coursework and work with students and Center Director to identify and solve potential problems. Coach students on academic goal setting and test skills development.
Compensation and Benefits:

- Employment Start Date: On or around February 15, 2017.
Candidate Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree with subject specialization and prior teaching experience in the field.
