English Teacher Job Description & Responsibilities:
To conduct English Language and extracurricular STEM lessons to 6-10 kids in class with the assistance of one in-class Chinese teacher. Lessons follow a designated syllabus and teaching scheme; text books, white board teaching software and teaching plans templates are provided by training center.
To help students reach the level of English established in syllabus and center learning objectives.
To take an interest in and give advice and assistance on individual students progress in English.
To make use of opportunities to develop professionally and further the development of both in-class teaching and the syllabus.
To promote and maintain a friendly atmosphere for children during the teaching process.
To be enthusiastic to work with young children from 3 years old up and to be prepared to teach adults and young adults on a one to one basis

Workload: Up to 21 Teaching hours/week. (total 35 working hours/week)

English teacher Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or higher
TESOL/TEFL certification, or a major in Education / Vocational Teaching / Language Arts / ESL, or a teacher’s license and certification in the U.S., Canada, Australia, U.K., Ireland, South Africa, or New Zealand.
To meet China's legal visa regulations, you must be a citizen from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
Contract length: one year or longer.
Teaching experience in China is preferred.

The British English Learning Center is based in Zhanjiang, in the south of China. Our company is co-managed by a team of Chinese and UK professionals who have lived in China for several years. Our team is energetic and fun to work with and we are committed to creating a positive experience for all teachers and local staff.
Our focus is to provide high quality English teaching rather than bringing in a large volume of students at the detriment of proper teaching. We have relatively small classes of 6 to 10 students.
