Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Team Lead to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility. Position Overview: Team leads are responsible for making sure that employees in their area know how to perform the standard processes in their area. Team leads are working team leads. 80% of team lead responsibilities will come from their standard work (tactical responsibilities) In this function you will: Lead daily Tier 1 meetings at start of shift Report daily team needs during Tier II meeting to supervisor for additional support Bell to Bell work monitoring Assist operations in quickly responding to business challenges (changes, material shortages, and/or manpower challenges) Ensure visual boards are continuously maintained Rotate team members fairly between paint load and unload functions Lead team in problem solving efforts to improve work processes Provide guidance and direction to employees to ensure compliance and standardization in Safety, Quality, and Production Expectations Provide training, instruction, and production related guidance to employees in their area. Ensure all members in their area have received proper training Receive work assignment from supervisor and prioritize jobs based upon the urgency of the order. Provide motivation and encouragement to their team members, ensuring that they are continually made aware of all workplace goals surrounding production, safety, and quality. Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Ensure assigned work-area is clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations Preferred Qualifications: Previous leadership experience in a production environment Experience with lean manufacturing tools Experience with working in paint, Q69 and powder coat In current position for at least 6 months Position Criteria: Understand and meet all departmental safety design and goals.
