Job Description
Eaton is currently seeking a Team Lead 2nd shift to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney location This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $29.00/hour plus a shift differential for being on 2nd shift. A highly functional production employee who provides leadership within the focus factory and a wide variety of services for production needs. Schedules production and manpower distribution within the focus factory. Covers tactical day-to-day leadership duties for the department. Be an active member of the Focus Factory and support Production Supervisor in achieving BSC and Focus Factory targets. Performs duties including: Department scheduling Manpower assignments Production reporting Monitor hourly production boards and follow up on interrupters to production (including entering work orders into Maximo) Lead shift start Huddle Meetings Represent the department in daily production meetings Perform required audits (LPA’s, etc.) Ensure department monthly safety training is completed at 100% on time Ensure safe work practices and reports safety incidents (near misses, incidents, recordables) Performs minor maintenance and troubleshooting Drive and consistently demonstrate 5S Operates production equipment according to Safety and Quality guidelines with the expectation that the Team Leader will be fully trained and signed off at every operation within the focus factory. Active member of the department Flow Line Team Assist with changeovers and setup approvals as needed Coordinate, conduct and document training (onboarding, cross training, etc.) Provide technical assistance to operators as necessary, assistance may include help with set ups, programming questions, crash recovery, lab concerns and various other issues Mentor operators and document to support APEX for Mfg process When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required Minimum 1 year manufacturing work experience Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Current Eaton Kearney employee APEX for Manufacturing ratings of P3 or higher in previous two cycles if an internal employee Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Position Criteria Repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. Extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping Ability to repeatedly climb a ladder Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload accordingly Must have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and across the organization Demonstrated and proficient experience using word processing and spreadsheets in Microsoft Office suite.
