The European Shared Services Retail Collections in Berlin is servicing accounts with a combined customer portfolio for Germany, Spain, Italy, France, BeNeLux and the UK. The focus of this department is loss mitigation through negotiating with customers to reach a payment arrangement. If payment arrangements are not possible the department is responsible for taking actions that reduces the potential credit loss for Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG.

We are looking for a manager whose main responsibilities are the professional and disciplinary management of the employees in European Legal Collections & Deficiency Handling teams, the appropriate management of the operational business as well as the internal procedures and the perfect design of interfaces. The position holder is responsible for the achievement of qualitative and quantitative corporate objectives and supervises compliance with legal & internal company regulations. You will be the first contact point for the local market and actively steer the relationship between our SSC and different local markets.
You can expect the following tasks:
Operational process management and people management
- Ensuring and achieving the agreed objectives, in particular with regard to capacity, service level, key-performance indicators and case-completion
- Responsibility for the planning, controlling and monitoring of the operative daily business
- Decision-making and processing of complex business transactions and escalations
- Identification of the need for actions in the day-to-day business as well as initiation of appropriate measures for middle/long term strategy
- Initiation and support of change processes to improve existing workflows
- Ensure a proper steering of all stakeholders including our external suppliers
Personnel management
- Capacity & resource planning (incl. task allocation) and monitoring of the employees in close co-operation with connected teams
- Check and monitor working hours and leave time as well as initiate appropriate measures
- Guide, motivate and promote the employees by goal agreements and performance assessments
- Coordinate trainings and development plans to help employees develop their full potential
- Ensuring a goal-oriented internal communication by also pro-actively make the connections between top management & employees
- Ensure that the agreed objectives are met
- Steering of required trainings
- Candidate selection, holding of interviews and ensuring the integration process together with our HR-department
Compliance and regulations
- Assure compliance with all group and location specific regulations (e.g. safety and environmental protection regulations, working time regulation, guidelines, etc.) applicable to the transferred area of responsibility, as well as applicable legal provisions (e.g. ICS, BaFin requirements
- Inform the assigned employees about the relevant regulations and instruct them to comply
- Proper implementation & follow-up of control mechanisms
