Eaton’s Electrical sector is seeking a Team Lead for the Dallas, TX facility. Position Overview: The Dallas facility is a start-up operation that will grow to approximately 160 employees and serves the Electrical Sector, Americas Region. The Dallas facility is a cost-center service organization with the central purpose of providing value added logistics support for the distribution, sales and service of electrical products and components, in the US & internationally. This position requries the ability to lead the Outbound Power System department by assisting the Supervisor in day-to-day DC operations. Monitor workload and allocate resources as required. Support on the job training for the department Assist in productivity and non-conformance data collection and analysis. Research answers and correct minor day-to-day operations problems and questions Provide temporary supervision as required if Supervisor is away Learn different work stations within the department and flex as necessary Observe safety and quality policies, report unsafe acts and hazards, and support all 5-S and CI activities Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum 1-year experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. No documented coachings within the previous 6 months Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree from an accredited institution Previous team lead/ leadership experience Previous experience working with Eaton and knowledge of the Eaton Leadership Model Working knowledge or WMS, SAP, EXCEL and OUTLOOK 2+ years of experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment 1+ years of experience operating PIT equipment (stand up, reach truck, cherry picker) Position Criteria: Strong verbal and written communication Ability to lead a team Ability to operate multiple types of PIT equipment (Stand up, reach truck, cherry picker) Ability to teach/train others Strong PC skills –WMS, SAP, EXCEL and OUTLOOK Must be able to learn all operations within the department Position requires high level of concentration and close attention to details Must be responsive to customer requests both internally and externally Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
