Job Description
Eaton’s Industrial/VEH sector is currently seeking a Team Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location. Position Overview: Directs and administers all activities (safety, manufacturing quality, staffing, scheduling, and maintenance) of 2nd shift in order to meet safety, production requirements, cost, quality, and efficiency objectives of the business. Leads production associates to achieve production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards. Provides leadership to promote a positive employee work environment. As 2nd shift is a small group, the team lead will also work in the cell as required to meet daily production needs. In this function you will: Ensure team meets/exceeds scheduled manufacturing/production requirements Manages 2nd shift manufacturing and assures a safe working environment for all associates Assures that quality systems and operator instructions are effectively used, and issues are promptly identified and communicated Maintains lean manufacturing techniques and systems Ensures operators attain proper training for assigned roles and maintains appropriate documentation Ensures feedback to Operations Manager of direct associates regarding performance appraisals, attendance/tardiness, and disciplinary issues in a timely basis. Provides performance feedback to employees on a regular basis Daily communication alignment with 1st Shift as well as providing written End of Shift report. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma Previous production, manufacturing, maintenance experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership skills, with ability to coach and motivate associates Demonstrated problem solving abilities Proficient in English and Spanish Basic knowledge of Oracle production system Ability to drive forklift.
