About the role: 

As a Team Leader in the Key Accounts Team you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team responsible for the growth, quality, management, enablement, and performance management of strategic Enterprise and API supply partnerships (channel managers and property managers).

The Team Leader is responsible for managing and executing regional strategies to the overall Key Accounts and company strategy. You will be accountable for helping grow Airbnb’s business through Enterprises and software partners in EMEA. You will be responsible for setting up a team and contributing to the regional strategies, exceeding quarterly business and technical KPIs, establishing world-class account management practices, mentoring, developing and motivating your team members to grow their career at Airbnb. You will be reporting to the Head of Enterprise & Connectivity in EMEA. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a distributed team of Key Account Managers in the region and assist in partner management and new business development for supply acquisition
  • Responsible for the team to meet and exceed goals based on quarterly revenue, volume, supply acquisition, feature adoption, and other OKRs
  • Develop and execute a regional playbook in accordance to global strategy, working closely with a distributed team of Key Account Managers, field teams and Enterprise account managers
  • Create operational rhythm, establish and track KPIs, analyze business growth, market trends and other key metrics to identify trends, drive new business opportunities, and ensure resolution of business challenges with a sense of urgency
  • Establish and maintain successful business practices for managing strategic Enterprise & connectivity partners
  • Directly manage and drive success for selected Key Accounts 
  • Support your team by joining QBRs and meetings with their top accounts and advocate internally to support top partner's needs
  • Participate in industry and partner’s events aswell as organize internal partner events
  • Monitor business needs across the region and work closely with Product, Sales Ops, Rev OPs, Technical Support, Legal, Regional Sales Leads and other cross functional stakeholders to grow our supply at scale, drive feature adoption and business performance
  • Serve as primary Airbnb point of contact for all internal questions, escalations and service improvements regarding Enterprise and connectivity partners in the region
  • Develop your team members by coaching, mentoring and supporting them in growing their career in the team and at Airbnb
  • Hold regular meetings, 1:1’s, performance and appraisal reviews
  • Organize team business gatherings, quarterly kick offs and team building events

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years professional experience in a fast paced environment, ideally in Key Account or Strategic partnership roles
  • 3-5 years experience managing and leading highly effective teams with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals 
  • Highly motivated and engaged team builder with ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Strong analytical skills to identify high-impact opportunities and objectively evaluate projects
  • Ability to develop a strategy, communicate it clearly and get buy-in and support to execute against quarterly goals
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to effectively influence top leaders internally and within the industry
  • Experience working, collaborating and influencing cross-functionally with product and tech teams is a must in addition to working with other cross functional teams like legal, Rev Ops, CS and others
  • Knowledge of OTA, channel managers and/or Property management systems, and experience with API integrations strongly preferred
  • Proven track record as a self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy
  • Local Knowledge - you must have solid operating experience in Europe
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English
  • Proficiency in one of the following languages is preferred: German, French, Italian, Spanish
  • Travel as needed to meet team members and engage with partners and customers at industry events
