Job Description
Eaton’s GEIS Division is currently seeking a Team Lead for our Paint Line on 1st shift. This position is based at our Reno, NV. This is a full time, direct hire position. Compensation for this role starts at $27.93/ hour. Shift Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday through Friday In this function you will: Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI). Meet prior to shift start to prepare for how 1st shift can help with the needs of the plant. Work overtime as needed including working Saturdays. Regular coordination with department Supervisors on priorities. Reallocate associates based on need. Work closely with supervisors to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions. Assist employees with technical or process issues such as inventory discrepancies, information, drawings, and procedures. Perform critical jobs or tasks to cover manning shortages as needed. Assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated. Act as a backup in the absence of the supervisor. Train employees on all aspects of operating and setting up M3 Roll Mill. Assist in new hire onboarding. Attend leadership training sessions. Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum of 12 months of previous production experience in a manufacturing environment 6 months of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: 12 months of previous experience in manufacturing painting / powder coating. 2 years of previous production experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting. 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to verbally communicate in English and Spanish. . Position Criteria: Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English. Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice. Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities. Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees. Strong organizational, presentation, and conflict resolution skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to perform most functions of SAP related to production. Ability to operate forklift and combi lift, and/or other material handling equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
