Abbott Vascular Netherlands in Heerlen, The Netherlands, is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Abbott’s vascular products. From our 10,000 m2 warehouse we ship an average of 765,000 units per month to hospitals, Abbott distributors and Abbott affiliates in Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America. E

What your primary objective will be

• Manage, Control, coordinate, evaluate and have responsibility for all the SC and Procurement processes in AVN.

• For Products that use SNP as a planning tool, own the tool, be responsible for the Master data in SNP and have a strategy in place that prevent back-orders in the supply-chain for these products. Supervise AVN users of the system.

• Manage SC and procurement processes within AVN in compliance with Corporate Purchasing Policies (CPP), Division SC procedures. Own, develop, and maintain local SC and Procurement policies related to SC/purchasing and have knowledge of local policies and procedures that have impact on AVN SC and procurement.

• Coordinate analysis of AVN inventory, Demand, Supply and product availability. Define actions opportunities and risks regarding these topics and work with respective stakeholders, internal and external to solve issues and implement improvements.

• Act as an Internal Business Partner for all other functions within AVN, work with other functions to support AVN and Abbott’s goals and strategy.

• Be responsible for the Product Master data within AVN, Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) process within AVN.

• Have overall responsibility for the SC and Procurement team and develop the team within Abbott’s core competencies.

• Develop and maintain AVN procurement and SC strategy.

• Represent AVN SC/procurement in the Site Leadership team.

Wat your major accountabilities will be

• Closely follow internal and external development that are relevant for the AVN Business

• Maintain updated knowledge of Systems such as SAP, SNP, reporting and data analysis tools that are used within Abbott or of potential use for AVN in the future. In order to guide the team SC team in getting information and educate the team on using systems in a way that support the SC/Procurement strategy.

• Partner with relevant stakeholders within AVN, Division SC, Division Procurement, Suppliers such as Abbott manufacturing sites, external suppliers for products and suppliers for commodities.

• Lead or be part of projects that have impact on AVN SC and/or procurement such as f.i. Integration projects,

• Develop, Define and adapt Supply chain and procurement scorecards and KPI’s relevant for AVN and Division management to support business strategies.

• Identify risks and opportunities that relate to non-specific SC and Procurement processes and partner the responsible groups to indicate and implement solutions or improvements.

What education/experience you bring

• Bachelor and/or Master: international business, preferably concentration supply chain.

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a medical device environment, preferably in multiple disciplines such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Business excellent, operation.

• Preferably experience in leading a team.

• Fluent in English, proficient in Dutch
