Job Overview
Team Members are system experts in their assigned area and are highly functional in multiple areas. Team Members must also ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Functions as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities.
This team member role will support the site industrial engineering team with daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
Team Members must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This specific position requires strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and team building skills as well as deep computer and systems knowledge such as Excel and Word to support site objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Performs all assigned activities & job tasks within a line or area.
Assist IE Team in the data collection and reporting of site metrics/KPIs
Responsible for weakly site staffing/temp labor coordination and planning
Supports the integrity of data collection systems throughout the site
Contributes to BUR Digital tools and integration through testing/trialing,
feedback, development, and training
Proactively drive improvements in respective areas of ownership
Has knowledge of the plant's products and goals.
Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions.
Has general knowledge of Mars & the systems used by the business
Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (LSS, PSL, MIS, SQCIS, etc.)
High degree of ownership for product quality
Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Able to perform time studies on production floor processes and tasks
Physical/Environmental Requirements
Standing on a concrete floor.
Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to work off hours as needed (<20% of the time)
Knowledge / Experience
Data orientated and data analysis skills
Computer savvy – proficient in excel
Beginner level or beyond in digital tools (Weever, Polka, TrakSYS, etc.)
Eager to learn
Continuous improvement mindset
Education & Professional Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent education. Associates 'or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Standing on a concrete floor.
Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3+ years of manufacturing experience
