Position Overview The Technical Account manager for Horizontal “Flexible Production” is responsible for customer interfacing, technical related application products / automation concepts, and standards. The main responsibility is to develop future proof automation / production concepts for Flexible production Systems in various automation industries (e.g. Automotive, Battery, F&B, electronics, logistics...). She / He is applying the existing automation standards (e.g. SIMOVE AGV) in customer inquiries and supporting the sales team during pre-sales project phase. By reviewing customer RfQs, observing market / automation trends / technologies, she / he will be collecting new requirements to use as channel into development to expand roadmap of various automation standards / products. Responsibilities Development of concepts and solutions for flexible production applications in specific branches (either manufacturing and/or logistics applications) on customer request or as part of a project presales team Presentation of technical concepts to customers with high level sales background and / or detailed technical background Cooperation with line builders, system integrators and solution partners (e.g. AGV manufacturers) to apply the Siemens standards in the respective products and solutions Networking, knowledge sharing and technical reviews within HQ, system managers, product management, regions, and solution teams Identification of trends in market, application and technology and support to implement new requirements in standardization roadmaps Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Siemens TIA portal framework programming Siemens Functional Safety for automation concepts Siemens Automation Motion Control / Drives systems. Focus on battery driven system a plus Network bus Communication / Network concepts and device technology / wireless technology IT/OT Know How (Edge, Cloud, AI, ..) Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience 7-10 year’ s experience working in automation production / logistics industries. Required travel - 30% Familiar with Linux OS and modern interpreted language programming experience (i.e. JavaScript, python, …) Knowledge of Profinet, TCP/UDP, CANbus a plus Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
