Position Overview
Act as part of Professional Services team, work productively with other Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces such as Industry and Product Development teams to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives. Responsible for consulting, advising, recommending PLM solutions based on own experience and industry best practices, for migration and/or integration programs/projects within country in order for the Siemens PLM Software solution to be delivered successfully and provide value to the customer.
Responsibilities
Where required, provide input to Product Development in the creation of the product roadmap and influence the design of new product functionality and industry solutions. In line with program & project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption.
Work productively, Under guidance of principal or fellow architect, to support Sales pursuits and Services projects within Country engagements, through the complexity of migration / integration options and roadmap for data exchange. Provide input on architectural design to address business requirements. Provides input for process design, process integration and process change activities affecting a combination of multiple systems, including non-Siemens PLM software systems as necessary, either internally or at customer sites.
Consults on the programs/projects within Country engagements that require specialist expertise and technical leadership with focus on migration and integration. Works under self-management within project/program and/ or task constraints and will provide input to define solutions, methods and procedures on assignments. Where required, act as technical expert for specific programs within Country engagement requiring a full time specialist resource, and support project/program management activities to control scope, cost, schedule and quality.
Provides input in area of integration & migration to other architects within and beyond immediate projects or programs, on design, configuration and deployment of PLM solutions to other Services/Training teams. Contribute to Global Community of Practice for own area of specialist knowledge, promoting adoption within country by sharing of knowledge and lessons learnt within Country. Adopt usage of templates in own specialist area within country, and provide input to best practices and templates.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Technology or equivalent knowledge of PLM.
- Experience with meta data migration, mapping, data validation.
- Previous migration experience with Enterprise PLM, ERP or MES systems.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Java, ITK, SQL, PLMXML, XML, XSLT, C, C++
- Teamcenter Site Consolidation experience a plus.
- CAD data migration (UG/NX, ProE, Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA) experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge and previous experience of databases and CAD/CAM systems.
- Multiple years implementing Teamcenter solutions or similar products, such as Enovia, SmartTeam, Windchill, Aras Innovator or Agile.
- Experience leading a group of consultants or customer during a software implementation or migration project.
- Multiple years working in a customer facing environment.
- Good communication skills at various levels throughout an organization.
- A self-starter with strong communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
