Job Description

XEG (Xeon Engineering Group) in DEG (Design Engineering Group) is seeking a highly motivated, accountable and innovative Technical Assistant (TA) to be a trusted partner of the CVP and XEG Staff. XEG manages the competitive design solutions for the entire Xeon Scalable Performance Data Center portfolio, partnering with DCIA (Data Center and AI) to drive data center roadmap strategies, which represent a material portion of Intel's revenue. This position provides counsel, assistance, and coordination to drive technical goals and decision-making to ensure successful execution of critical technical strategic objectives.

The TA will support multiple strategic deliverables, working closely with the CVP and XEG Staff team. Must establish strong credibility and be experienced working in a large, complex, and matrixed technical organization at the senior executive level. Candidates must possess clear executive presence, be comfortable working in an ambiguous and dynamic environment, experienced in influencing (i.e., team members, customers, partner BUs, etc.), able to communicate with impact internally and externally, while role modeling and inspiring Intel's desired cultural attributes including accountability. This position requires a combination of technical and business acumen, organization savvy, collaboration capabilities, and technical expertise to get results across multiple teams, business units, and disciplines. This position requires a demonstrated ability to understand and interpret industry trends, create and drive strategies, work independently, and simultaneously manage diverse assignments, while remaining organized and productive in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Enables XEG's CVP to increase scale and plays an integral role in widening the overall organization's technical reach and capacity.

  • Supports and provides oversight on strategic planning including working with the CVP and XEG Staff on the short- and long-term technical objectives, due dates, and execution of objectives.

  • Provides support to CVP leading the execution of key programs and deliverables through matrixed teams.

  • Executes key deliverables identified by the CVP and Staff related to strategic plans and regular business reporting (i.e., program and technical metrics).

  • Supports program reviews for XEG requiring the execution of key programs and deliverables; keeps track of required actions, ensuring all questions are answered; content, appropriate information is shared, and critical communications are made, etc.

  • Acts as a technical liaison with other Intel groups facilitating collaboration and cultivating influence and positive change across these organizations.

  • Interfaces with the TA community across DEG/DPG to facilitate alignment and collaboration and for innovative solutions including efficiencies.

  • Partners with XEG Chief of Staff/Operations, executive assistants, HR, and DEG Communications as needed for seamless execution on XEG objectives.

  • Drives the standardization of TR (Technical Readiness) and Execution metrics across XEG programs aligned with DEG.

  • Develops plans and processes for the management of emulation and compute capacity requirements for XEG with alignment across DEG and cross-functional groups.

  • Stays apprised of the business environment and industry trends; develops and shares insights to support the CVP in various internal meetings.

  • Plans, creates, and delivers high level technical executive communications and presentations across global audiences, ensuring preparation for all engagements.

  • Drives technical meetings by creating and disseminating agendas, minutes, and ARs, and develops presentations when needed.

  • Uses creativity and drive to develop plans to generate excitement for the organization's technical strategic objectives including full execution to achieve results.

  • Designs, develops, and oversees the XEG technical information sites for data access, availability, and retention of critical information.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in CE, CS, EE, or similar STEM degree (Master's Degree preferred) with 10+ years of relevant technical experience including in RnD.

  • High performer with a proven track record of significant accomplishments.

  • Experienced in delivering multiple global-scale, high-impact, cross-functional programs and deliverables simultaneously in an ever-evolving business environment.

  • Demonstrates organizational leadership savvy including situational dynamics.

  • Quickly builds a high level of trust and demonstrates sensitivity with highly confidential information.

  • Develops, interprets, and presents technical information with clear messaging appropriate to the audience (i.e., Executive Leadership Team).

  • Highly resilient and able to manage significant change and multiple, complex issues concurrently.

  • Able to push back, challenge thinking, and do the right thing even when difficult.

  • Proven track record of inclusive leadership, taking initiative and driving projects/deliverables to high quality with significant deadline pressure.

  • Strong technical and business acumen (internal and external) for server development and products.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$149,430.00-$261,690.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
