About the opportunity

Purpose of your role

Working closely with global Business, Digital and Technology counterparts, this position oversees our delivery team in Dalian that are directly responsible for the ongoing build and maintenance of Fidelity’s digital solutions, including but not limited to front-end solution, analytics, Mobile, Cloud. With a primary focus on Asia Pacific but with engagement with global teams and initiatives, the team cover a range of solutions delivery including our Public Websites, Secure online transactional services, Digital analytics and mobile offerings. The successful candidate is expected to lead and build upon our delivery capabilities and support service in these areas, as well work closely with internal clients to provide input to propositions based on experience and active market awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership of delivery teams that are building and supporting our technology solutions, aiming to source and grow the right talent and skills to best progress our productivity and quality objectives
• Working closely with colleagues in different locations from the TIS, security, digital, business & technology teams to help define and maintain the technology roadmap supporting businesses. Using experience and external inputs to help influence and drive our direction
• Engaging with key business and technology stakeholders to align team outputs with business direction and strategies
• Oversight of resource and programme management, aligning capacity and skillsets with future plans and budgets
• Influencing global reuse and the adoption of standards, processes and practices that can drive quality and efficiency
• Coaching and managing the performance of team members
• Ensuring adherence to internal technology and IT security controls and promoting a mind-set of quality, security and stability for all team outputs

Experience and Qualifications Required

• A strong multi-year track-record in project/team management related to software delivery; Agile project experience a real advantage
• Experience and active interest in architecture, data analytic, digital solutions, and reporting systems
• Global working experience and a strong communicator, able to work closely with global stakeholders, contribute to global technology initiatives and feed into the wider technology direction
• Active people manager aiming to seek and grow talent to progress capabilities and aptitude
• Technical background with experience of software engineering and related core and emerging digital, data, reporting technologies
• Ability to effectively influence and lead among technology teams, internal stakeholders, technology vendors and FIL management
• Excellent written and spoken English; Japanese would be an advantage
• Financial services domain knowledge is desirable
