Role Summary

RWS is a major player with in the Global Content Technologies & Language solutions with industry leading products.  We are looking to recruit a Professional Services Technical Consultant within the Web Content Management.

Professional Services team work with RWS clients to provide technical services. We deliver expert advice, services on the implementation and best practice use of Tridion products. Projects requiring Technical Consulting range in size from 1 month to 12+months.

A Technical Consultant is responsible for providing on and off site development support to RWS customers during the full lifecycle of implementation and upgrade projects.  The project work is varied, ranging from fulfilling the overall technical lead to providing small ad-hoc consultancy on RWS best practice.  A key objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality technical consultancy in terms of the level of knowledge, experience, documentation and code.

This role requires a self-starting capable team player with business and IT skills and the ability to effectively communicate with senior business contacts as well as the technical team. They must be able to work in a professional manner with clients and at all times remain focused on key Professional Services goals, primarily brand protection, financial effectiveness and client satisfaction. 

The candidate must be highly organized and customer focused.

What You Will Generally Be Doing

• Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects
• Work with Global Delivery team to understand the requirements and create the corresponding technical documents & deleveries
• Good team player and willing to work under pressure. Able to communicate world-wide team.
• Evaluate and propose the best technologies and solutions for a given business problem
• Develop and document the proposed technical design for the delivery
• Develop and troubleshoot applications in a variety of system environments
• Hands on development using Test Driven Development when needed
• Make sure that the deliverables are of highest quality and professionalism.
   
  What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline
• At least 5 years working experience software engineering and development with 3+ years in design solution
• Good in spoken and written Mandarin and English languages, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical audiences ( Japanese will be a plus)
• Proficiency in .Net/Java or C#, and web frontend/backend development frameworks/technologies, such as Java, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, XSLT, Node.js, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, MSSQL, Git, Bitbucket, Redis, Jenkins
• Strong experience in profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions
• Strong experience and knowledge in API, system integration, micro services, business reporting, software engineering concepts and best practices
• Experience with web technologies
• Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions
• Experience in applying test driven development, automated united test/integration test/load testing
• Experience with enterprise CMS system delivery(ECMS/CCMS/WCMS), such as Tridion, Windchil, AME, Sitecore and etc.
• Strong analytical mind and logical thinking
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• “Can do” mentality, Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Quick learning and self-motivated.
• Relevant professional certifications is preferred
• Good in spoken and written Japanese is preferred
   
  Desirable

• Experience with front-end Java development (JSP, JSTL).
• Knowledge of RESTful Services, XML and XSLT.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development TDD and automated testing.
• Implementation experience of Tridion products
