Job Description
Do you have a passion for excellent web site experiences, with an eye for detail and ability to measure images against best practices and branding standards? The Content Production & Optimization (CP&O) team is responsible for content quality in the Siemens Digital Industries Software digital ecosystem, including content and SEO strategies and management of our marketing taxonomy. We collaborate with stakeholders across our global marketing organization to create and optimize web content, including the sourcing of images that meet Siemens quality and branding guidelines. As the Technical Graphics Specialist, you will work with our Sr. Graphics Specialist and the broader Digital Customer Experience organization to guide the implementation of the connection between our digital asset management (DAM) system and Contentful content management system (CMS), create user documentation, provide training to our stakeholders in the use of the DAM, and ultimately serve as the primary moderator for the DAM. You will also be called upon to assist marketers, developers, UX designers and researchers, product managers, and others in various projects to deliver experiences that are user-centric and align to strategic business objectives. Essential Functions: • Works with the development teams on the final steps of connecting the Siemens DAM to the Contentful CMS, testing, and troubleshooting • Provides ongoing feedback and user requirements to the development teams • Collaborates with our Sr. Graphics specialist in creating the user documentation and setup of image tagging conventions • Provides training to stakeholders in the use of the DAM and requirements for the images that are uploaded • Acts as primary moderator for the DAM: reviews and approves images, tagging, etc. • Assists stakeholders in simple image editing tasks (resizing, cropping, color correction, etc.) to meet technical and branding requirements • Works in close collaboration with other members of the broader Digital Customer Experience organization on projects as needed Essential Skills and Abilities Required: • 5+ years of web design or similar experience, with deep knowledge of best practices for web image optimization • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator • Practical knowledge of digital asset management and content management systems • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn concepts quickly • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. If you organize your sock drawer by type and color, this is the job for you. • Excellent written and oral communication skills Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience • Experience working in Agile development teams (Scrum or Kanban) • Experience working in a globally dispersed team • Knowledge of Siemens brand standards for web design • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design or related discipline.
