The Technical Instructor/Developer is responsible for facilitating, developing, delivering and maintaining BMW Group Technical, E-Learning and Non-technical courses within the courses offered using BMW Group training standards to Dealer Technicians, STEP students, industry partners.

Development responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):

  • Curriculum Development
  • Report and redevelop changes due to diagnostic updates
  • Develop technical training curriculum for customer base
  • Ensures training courses address all levels of customers in the use of company products/services
  • Develops course outlines, gathers supporting technical documentation and develop course work and trainer notes,
  • Interfaces with curriculum development team and peers to develop specifications for course content
  • Assesses customer needs for future course development
  • Evaluates and provides feedback on the effectiveness of training curriculum delivered

Instructional duties to include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare Training materials and daily instructional preparations
  • Prepare instructional materials including engines vehicles, and training assets,
  • Ensure quality and consistency of course content throughout course lifecycle,
  • Plan and direct classroom training electronic learning multimedia programs and other computer aided instructional technologies,
  • Facilitate conferences and workshops
  • Continually enhance technical instructional delivery, presentation skills, technical expert knowledge with BMW Group vehicle systems and diagnostic technology
  • Ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes

  • Associates degree in automotive technology and or post-secondary certificate or minimum 5 years as a BMW Master tech, ASE Master or equivalent.
  • Certification for High Voltage and eMobility vehicles is highly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a BMW Master service technician or equivalent
  • Service Technician and Collision training experience highly desired  
  • Travel up to 20%
