Technical Lead Location: Prague – Roztoky / Czech Republic Eaton is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to develop innovative solutions for our Energy Transition Division at the Eaton European Innovation Center in Prague (EEIC), Czech Republic. In this role the person will be responsible for leading new technology research, managing the project and coordinating team members; will be supervising and participating, design and development, further comprehensive testing of electronics devices, with a focus on automation and communication. Therefore, a good blend of technical knowledge and business acumen is required to be successful in this position. The individual will be a member of the team with focus on development of Electrical Vehicle systems. That is composed from integration of EV chargers with energy storage systems, communication and control interfaces. The person will report to Ondrej Ficner, Engineering manager at EEIC. Your main duties : • Lead development activities and demonstrate start to finish ownership for the assigned projects • Engineering Project Lead Electronics - formally manage the project, allocate and coordinate resources, plan and keep to the project budget • Help defining the requirements • Use DFSS tools to ensure high quality of the designs • Supervise and participate in: performing computer simulation and design of electronics, including analog and digital circuitries; building prototypes, conducting electrical, thermal and lifetime tests, analyzing data to improve/optimize the design in terms of performance, size, cost, manufacturability, and reliability; • Create technical reports and presentations; • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to successfully develop and validate the design. Qualifications What we are looking for: • MS in electrical or firmware engineering or equivalent • Minimum 5 years in product development work • Proven hands-on experience with electronics devices development, product development processes and validation • Writing requirements • Experience with microcontrollers, analog and digital technologies, measurement, etc. • Good spoken English capabilities • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes and project management practices. • Experience in applying DfR and DfM methods, worst case analysis; Design for Six Sigma certification preferred. • Communication-focused soft skills with capability to build rapport within the team, as well as with internal and external partners. • Understanding of NPI and Agile methodologies • Fluent in oral and written English What we offer: • At Eaton, we aspire to be a model of inclusion and diversity in our industry – a place where everyone matters and everyone belongs.
