The Opportunity:
 

In this exciting role as a Technical Lead, you will be a senior member as part of the technology leadership team and work alongside a high-performing team to design, enhance and implement software products and services across the AIA technology portfolio.

You will essentially create work packages for external teams and/or IT vendors and ensure that all delivered technology solutions adhere to best practice security, compliance, and design principles. You will own application architecture for a set of applications. Also contribute to, influence, and monitor key elements of the development and deployment of the Technical Solution.

To do this successfully you will:

• Ensure that Technical Design aligns with the organizational system architecture through regular liaison with the Solution Architect
• Work collaboratively with the AIA business SME’s, Project Managers, Development Teams (local and offshore) and vendors to deliver required software solution across the technology portfolio.
• Designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure
• Ensuring that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained.
• Define and own the non-functional requirements of applications and how the architecture reflects them.
• Predict what decisions have to be made early on in the project to avoid incoherency and duplication with the solution.
• Ensure a seamless integration of new and existing applications to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity.

To be successful in this position you will have

• Proven experience with technical leadership and/or application architecture roles
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both IT and Business stakeholders.
• Commercial experience of working within software development projects.
• Experience in software design and architecture.
