Job Description
TITLE: Technical Product Manager/Product Owner COMPANY: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. DUTIES: Analyze, define, and design the development of the new generation Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Class 2 medical device (Siemens Cardiology PACS) based on the Siemens’ native syngo platform. Drive the redesign of the new Trinity product components to work seamlessly with the syngo One platform. Define features to support interoperability per standard IHE framework. Manage software requirements that drive development to solve the defined problems using Caliber RM tools. Create and maintain a prioritized backlog with acceptance criteria in TFS, including communicating and soliciting requirements from stakeholders such as Clinicians, Supply Chain Management teams and Siemens Security expert group as well as translating market requirements to software requirements and creating software requirements specification to drive the development team for the delivery of the product functionalities using Micro focus Caliber Requirements Management tooling. Prioritize and design solutions to meet DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements within the syngo framework. Provide internal training on new features and enhancements to Siemens service personnel. Responsible for refining backlog items with Agile scrum teams. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above listed fields and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Full term of experience must include the following skills: strong healthcare industry environment knowledge and demonstrated experience; Scrum/Agile experience; experience in product requirement analysis and documentation; experience leading new product development efforts through the entire development life cycle; experience with product backlog management using MS Team Foundation Server; hands-on experience developing medical solutions that adhere to IHE profiles, DICOM and HL7 protocols; software development experience using SQL Database management; software development experience using .NET, VC++, Perl, Power Shell; experience in administration and management of Microfocus Caliber for Software requirements; experience in product implementation and solution management; experience with Configuration Management, Software packaging and deployments; experience with Product Risk Analysis per FDA class regulations; in-depth knowledge in development of high-availability and virtualization solutions for PACS medical imaging applications; ability to translate complex healthcare, clinical, and technical workflow concepts to lay persons; experience with infrastructure and network design including databases management, remote and hosted deployment and support, IT security and communication standards (DICOM, HL7, ASPI, etc.) and how these apply with Enterprise Imaging Systems and vended products across department, hospital, and enterprise. Approximately 25% travel required.
