Eaton’s Electrical Sector - Canada is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Engineering team. This position is based at our head office in Burington, ON and is a hybrid role. Position Overview: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for seeing innovative projects through from concept to completion and managing all aspects of project and program management. They will be expected to motivate the project team to produce in an effective and efficient manner and work closely with business leaders (Canada and US) and other functions to evaluate project ideas for development and execution. In this function you will: Coordinate with Product Portfolio Manager to build and maintain prioritized list of projects and conduct sprint reviews to communicate project status. Support in Creating and Maintaining Canada Product Roadmap. Work with others internal teams/functions, such as Engineering, Marketing, Plants and Satellites and U.S. colleagues, to ensure project has appropriate resources and communicate project status, risks, timelines, etc. to them. Develop Project plan definition and execution plan including: WBS tasks and subtasks, Budgets Schedules (BOC-Business Opportunity Calculator), milestones and deliverables and third-party partnership collaboration. Support, organize, and prepare samples for compliance testing. Support in preparing documentation for functional specifications, operational procedures, design details, test plans, verification reports, manufacture releasing and bill of materials. Organize and guide the team on how to use Kanban and Agile practices and methodologies. Guide and Train Canada marketing, manufacturing, and engineering team on Agile methodologies Ensure that Jira metrics are collected to appear on Confluence dashboard Facilitate the workflow Kanban Meetings Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Minimum Diploma from an accredited institution 3 to 5 years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry in systems engineering, hardware or Firmware engineering, or technical product/program/portfolio management. 2 years in Project Management using tools like JIRA/ Confluence Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or SaFe Legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship. Preferred qualifications: Experience in developing enterprise level product roadmap Experience working with Atlassian tools suite Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact amongst products, platforms, and programs. Experience in electrical distribution and automation system design. Position Criteria: Ability to create liaison with the marketing teams in determining customer requirements and translating requirements into project charter with clear scope, and milestones with a view to make delivery effective. Exceptional written and verbal communication, and comfortable presenting in large groups and handling high-pressure communication with senior management Experience with managing several concurrent cross-functional projects with technical depth Demonstrated ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team.
