Job Description

Fueled by a fundamental belief that having access to financial services creates opportunity, PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) is committed to democratizing financial services and empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy. Our open digital payments platform gives PayPal’s 305 million active account holders the confidence to connect and transact in new and powerful ways, whether they are online, on a mobile device, in an app, or in person. Through a combination of technological innovation and strategic partnerships, PayPal creates better ways to manage and move money, and offers choice and flexibility when sending payments, paying or getting paid. Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.

As part of Developer Experience organization , our mission is to reduce the cycle time of software delivery and enable development teams to quickly take their code changes to production with the highest quality.

Are you a highly motivated, customer-oriented problem solver? Do you bring order to chaos and thrive in ambiguity? Do you create paths forward when others are stuck and adapt quickly to change? Then we want you on our Developer Experience team. Our customers are engineers across PayPal and our goal is to deliver products and services that make their experience seamless, their engineering efficient and the process involved lightning fast.

This program manager will be responsible for leading the operations, planning and execution of strategic priorities in an organized, disciplined and predictable fashion. The tool kit required for both is necessary: focus on problem solving, accountability and outcomes, strong ability to influence others at multiple levels, initiative, drive, and structured analytical thinking. Our work supports the whole of PayPal and thus, the millions of merchants and consumers—our customers—worldwide who rely on our platform every day.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced program manager: operational, solution and customer-focused, and has a reputation for getting things done. Moreover, our candidate thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment, thinks critically, acts quickly, and partners naturally across a variety of functions. Lastly, maturity, good judgment, negotiation skills, and analytical talent are essential to success in this role.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for risk identification and mitigation

  • Excellent oral, written communication skills including presentation skills

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or prior experience as a software developer or technical product manager.
