Job Description

Job Title: Technical Project Manager 
Role Type: Contract - 6 months 
Location: Hybrid (Maidenhead office) 

About The Role:
The successful project manager will work within our LXD (Language Experience Delivery) Operating Model Programme managing of the Technical works stream for changes to the existing systems to support the changes in two areas of the business. Your job will be to coordinate both technical and business teams in line with the overall programme to deliver on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organisation and timeline.
Specific project manager responsibilities include developing / reviewing the detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget where this is required. 

The successful applicant will have a background in technical and business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. you also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude. You will report directly to the LXD Operating Model Programme Manager. 
Operating 

Main Duties Include:
* Plan, execute, and deliver projects within strict deadlines and within budget. This includes managing resources and coordinating the efforts of the internal team and third-party members to deliver scope according to plan
* Identifying the detailed requirements for the project and establish a clear and concise scope and project plan 
* Managing the project whilst maintaining a clear understanding of tasks, dependencies and progress
* Giving clear and unambiguous updates to the Programme Manager and stakeholders
* Effectively managing project communications through regular team updates, reporting and management of the steering group
* Managing and co-ordinating all project team members, whether they are internal resources or third-party resources
* Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver to the timelines and escalating when required 
* Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, actions, and risks and issues 
* Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
* Report and escalate to management all risks and issues and project proposed changes for approval 

Requirements:
* Proven track record in the ability to lead technical project through to delivery
* The ability to understand project detail, remove ambiguity and confidently articulate solutions to complex business problems
* Extensive experience of a variety of software projects using both Agile (SCRUM) and Waterfall development techniques and as well as experience of using Agile techniques in managing day-to-day work of the engineering teams (e.g. daily stand-ups, iteration tracking and reporting)
* Experience in leading development teams, contractors and 3rd party software vendors development projects
* Experience of full software life cycle and requirements management
* Able to learn rapidly and adapt to a changing technical environment
* An excellent communicator and can use your passion and enthusiasm to get things done
* Commercially aware with sound judgement and thrive in fast-paced and complex environments
* Be confident in performing in a fast paced, challenging environment, and can appropriately prioritise activities to suit business requirements
