Position Description: Position Description: Lenovo’s Data Center Group, Cloud Service Providers (DCG, CSP) Segment is seeking a qualified Technical Project Manager (TPM) whose primary mission is to lead project team/ peer functions/ common pool resources, development server product and ensure the successful of delivery. Strong communication skill to talk with cross-functional, cross-geography project teams to plan project schedule, estimate / control the overall budget, management the development risk, execute and deliver DCG CSP Offerings and Solutions on time is one of major task of this role. Most of handled products are CSP customer’s server/ storage/ AI product, TPM would be get involved from concept, NPI, until mass production. TPM is a virtual team leadership position with the expectation that TPM has the ability to consolidate internal / external resources, organize team to track project status regularly, monitor design/ validation/ material related risks, lead teammates to overcome critical/ emergency issues, also include project schedule/ proposal/ status report to customer and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). So the communicate both verbally/ in writing, and strong critical thinking skills is one of the important ability for TPM as well. Responsibilities: Advanced Planning # To work with marketing team/ customer on concept of new product. # Discuss with Marketing about how new technologies to be deployed into new platforms. # To communicate with R&D teams on the feasibility of new product concept that brought up by marketing or customer. # To work with R&D teams and figure out the area to be improved on architecture or feature set in current product line. TPM Related # Understand and manage project scope to deliver within the time / cost restraint. # Develop and execute project schedule, ownership and management of project deliverables. # Development NRE estimation, collect Manufacturing cost (MVA), consider overall project development expense include material expense and preparation. # Host regular interlock meeting with internal and external(customer) on project status discussion (Schedule, material preparation…). # Participate engineering/ manufacture/ quality meeting to monitor design related issues, and organize team to resolve critical issues, or mitigation plan of any uncertainties. # Join discussion with marketing/ customer on the urgent request or any critical issues that is gating the shipments. # Coordinate R&D, sales, manufacture on design changes or EC implementation review which might impact material readiness and project quotation. Engineering # Understand engineering issue reporting, debugging progress to think ahead of project delivery impact, material preparation risk, project budget, and product cost. # NPI status tracking on technical interlock, new design discussion on product features. # Collaborating and communicating between customer and Lenovo engineers/ validation team to avoid communication gap or misunderstanding. # Performs regular Lessons Learned with the team to ensure project and process improvements are captured from Kick Off to Launch. #### Position Requirements: Position Requirements: # Technical background (major in EE or Mechanical) is preferred. # Industrial experience in Server ODM/ System Integration companies in Data Center industry is preferred. # Bachelor degree is must, Master degree is a plus # Fluent English oral, written and communication skills. # Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic multi-culture environment with global function team across different time zones. # Strong cross-functional collaboration across diverse stakeholders to ensure responsiveness to deliverables and deadlines, alignment with project goal, and drive action. # Ability to lead effectively through complexity and ambiguity, with strong critical thinking, analysis skills and problem-solving skills # Ability to manage project to balance competing priorities and be flexible and creative. Proven track record in project management of complex projects. # Ability to maintain composure and perseverance in a deadline-driven environment. # Familiar with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Project tools # Strong customer focus and business sense on financial P&L analysis, MBA degree is a plus.
