Job Description
Siemens Advanta is seeking highly motivated digital experts to serve as a Technical Project Manager (TPM) within our fast-paced, engaging, and collaborative EMEA solutions team. Join us in creating cutting edge, technology-agnostic, customer- and data driven solutions, supporting our clients on their journey towards a Net Zero digital future using digitalization and innovation to drive sustainability through digital transformation. As TPM, you will provide a strategic function for the Siemens Advanta business, operating at the intersection of technical solution design, client engagement and project / program management and -delivery. You will work in close collaboration with the project team and our complex stakeholder community. Ensuring successful implementation of our custom-tailored technical solutions will be your core responsibility. Thereby, you will responsible of addressing the needs of our international top-tier clients end-to-end - from concept definition to proof of concept and minimum viable products to scaled up solutions, including rollout and handover to operations. You will be required to draw on experiences in supporting the transition of technologies and solutions from PoC to full scale solution / matured product. As such, you must be fluent in DevOps practices and readily able to apply agile techniques into such environments, whilst employing traditional waterfall principles where required for effective project delivery. Responsibilities include: Identification and clear definition of deliverables Successful management across the entire project lifecycle including scoping, planning, monitoring and controlling, deliverable tracking and deployment Managing project execution to meet predefined objectives and outcomes against challenging timelines in multinational environments Implementing and overseeing project schedules with high-level organization skills to collaborate with project managers and technical experts Identifying and resolving pain points in both technical and business solutions in close collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders Managing multiple teams across different nationalities and time zones Supervising team members and ensure on-time and on-quality delivery Holding regular technical team meetings to help address any questions or challenges Creating project plans with relevant team members Preparing project reports for senior management Planning, creating, mapping, and monitoring storyboards and sprints for development teams Issue resolution in sprints (Scrum Master) Product vision development (Product Owner) What you need to make real what matters. You have a deep understanding of IoT solutions and combining soft- and hardware components into wholistic solutions that serve a business purpose Proven experience in waterfall- and agile delivery methodology (PMI, SAFe, Nexus, SCRUM or comparable) Strong understanding of business challenges and economics Strong understanding of DevOps, AI/ML, digital stack and strong capability to keep up with latest digital trends 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following industries: Digital Utility (power transmission, distribution, smart grid) Energy, Utilities (water, gas, heat) Infrastructure & asset management and performance Distributed, and renewable, energy assets (including electro-mobility) Smart Building & Districts Net Zero, circular economy and energy services Food & Beverage Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Automotive Excellent communication skills Excellent people management skills and experience in navigating complex stakeholder environments Master’s degree in computer sciences, business informatics, systems engineering or similar 3-5+ years of experience as a delivery / program / project lead for software development projects Experience working with clients and partners in requirement gathering, business systems analysis, conducting workshops, design & delivery of solutions Desire to have or have TOGAF or similar experience in solution design Ability to produce documentation and deliverables to support end to end design Ability to present to peers and customers alike the vision of the solution Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) or SaaS offerings (e.g. Salesforce) Strong organisational skills and experience of resource management, working as part of, or leading, high performing teams Ability to support creation of status reports and articulate summaries of key risks, issues, and dependencies Abreast with latest trends, challenges & technological changes in the chosen domain Bring your individuality to work – someone who brings passion and energy to your day-to-day work is key!
