Job Description
The Role
1. The Technical Sales Engineer will require someone who is passionate about technology and the IT security sector.
2. The Technical Sales Engineer will be working with our Global Partners and System Integrators to ensure adoption of our technology as well as working with end users to understand business requirements and how our technology can be of benefit. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in pre-sales and implementation.
3. The Technical Sales Engineer will suit someone who would like to work for a stable international company, have exposure to working with colleagues from other countries and who wants to be associated with leading edge technology.
4. Preference will be given to candidates with overseas study and work experience and fluent English written and spoken are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinating with Global Sales Executives and all other departments to ensure a close, long-term relationship with our clients.
2. Provide technical sales and consulting services across all Feitian's product lines.
3. Working closely with Systems Integrators and Global Partners, especially during early stages of adoption and particularly technically challenging projects to ensure successful implementations.
4. Working with Sales Executives to recommend technical architecture, database schema, design patterns, migration, upgrade strategies, and operational best practices.
5. Designing, building and presenting Proofs of Concept for Feitian products to prospects and partners.
6. Responding to RFPs & RFIs, pilot support, technical demonstrations, and sales presentations.
7. Delivering standard and customized on-site training and demonstrations.
8. Supporting our clients during beta test programs or pre-launch activities.
9. Working closely with Sales & Marketing to organize and attend trade shows, events and seminars.
10. Willingness to travel abroad, being able to work under pressure, sense of responsibility and accountability.
Qualifications
Education
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electronic engineering or related field required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
2. 4 or more years of progressive experience in successful sales engineer or technical support roles, preferably in the international market.
Skills
1. Extensive previous experience as a sales engineer or related roles, preferably in the IT Security industry.
2. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
3. Experience with troubleshooting application, device, and network communications.
4. Excellent presentation skills. Must have a very consultative personality.
5. Demonstrated experience in developing applications in various modern Object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C# and VB.Net.
